Job Purpose
Supervises the warehouse operations of the branch and responsible in the supervision of the Receiving Binning Shipping activities and settle the entire product in the warehouse facility.
Work RelationshipsDirectly supervises several employees in the Counter Sales. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problemsMain Responsibilities- To receive, bin and settle the entire product in the warehouse facility and to locate properly fast-moving items for easy access.
- To set up adequate rack / shelf according to the product needs and to ensure delivery is always on time. To ensure that all warehouse staff receives updated product binning knowledge for effectiveness and to establish staffing levels required to achieve departmental objectives.
- To train and develop parts warehouse department staff and identify training needs in conjunction with trained staff ensuring resultant training programs are completed and adequate records maintained.
- Operate staff performance and appraisal systems and ensure action taken on results.
- To lead and motivate assigned staff to excel in this vital support function.
- Ensure all administrative functions, returns record keeping and clerical operations are carried out at the time and kept up to date.
- Review with the Manager-CPD/Branch Manager all activities and reporting systems within the department.
- To monitor delivery schedule of the product in Branches.
- To ensure cleanliness of the entire warehouse and its components.
- To maintain efficient schedule of manpower and utilities in transporting and claiming goods.
- Advise warehouse staff on appropriate binning and moving of products.
- Advise Manager-CPD/Branch Manager on any doubtful orders.
- Maintains professional appearance.
HSE Responsibilities- Adhere to follow all company Quality, Health, Safety, And Environmental (QHSE) policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Promptly identify and report unsafe conditions, incidents, and near misses to the appropriate supervisor or QHSE team.
- Properly use, maintain, and store personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools as required by the job.
- Attend and actively participate in mandatory Safety inductions, HSE trainings, safety meetings, emergency drills and root cause investigations.
- Follow established emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans, fire response, and first aid if trained.
- Follow protocols to minimize environmental impact, including proper waste disposal and reporting spills or leaks.
- Provide suggestions to enhance Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and take responsibility and initiatives for continual improvement
Qualification & Relevant Certifications- Essential: - Degree/ Diploma.
- Desirable: - Automobile Parts Specialist Certification or its equivalent.
Knowledge Skills & Experience- 5+ years of experience in related field.
- Ability to lead a team.
- Computer Skills.
- Ability to read, analyse, and interpret common scientific and technical documents.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to define problems, collect data establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
