Role Overview:
Dar is seeking experienced and talented Senior Electrical Engineers with proven PMC expertise and strong design background to join its distinguished Engineering team.
Responsibilities:
Support the design and development of electrical systems for major infrastructure and building projects, ensuring compliance with codes and standards. Assist in PMC (Project Management Consultancy) activities such as reviewing designs, coordinating with contractors, and supporting project documentation. Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements to confirm alignment with project requirements. Ensure assigned tasks are delivered within project timelines, budgets, and quality frameworks.
Requirements:
Electrical degree from an accredited university. Minimum 9 years’ experience since Graduation. Strong background in both design and PMC (Project Management Consultancy) roles. Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit, ETAP, Dialux, or similar). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and under the direction of a manager. Previous consultancy experience in the GCC region is an advantage. Job Summary The SCADA Specialist Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of SCADA systems to ensure reliable, secure, and continuous monitoring and control of industrial processes. The role supports day-to-day operations, system availability, and long-term performance of automation and control systems. Key Responsibilities
SCADA System Operations Monitor and operate SCADA systems to ensure continuous and safe plant/process operations Ensure real-time data acquisition, visualization, and alarm management are functioning correctly Support control room operators with system-related issues Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA hardware and software Diagnose and resolve SCADA, PLC, RTU, HMI, and communication network faults Coordinate system recovery during failures and minimize downtime
System Configuration & Upgrades Configure SCADA servers, workstations, HMIs, alarms, trends, and reports Support system upgrades, patches, backups, and version control Participate in system expansions, migrations, and integration of new assets
Cybersecurity & Reliability Implement and maintain SCADA cybersecurity measures and access controls Ensure compliance with industrial cybersecurity standards and best practices Maintain system backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery plans
Documentation & Reporting Maintain technical documentation, system drawings, and configuration records Prepare maintenance reports, incident reports, and performance analysis Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Coordination & Support Work closely with operations, maintenance, IT, and engineering teams Liaise with vendors and system integrators for technical support Provide training and technical guidance to operators and technicians Experience5-10 years of experience in SCADA systems maintenance and operations
