• Act as the technical lead for your squad, owning system design, code quality, and engineering standards.

• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.

• Contribute hands-on to complex or high-impact areas of the codebase.

• Guide architecture, code reviews, testing, documentation, and observability.

• Balance short-term delivery goals with long-term platform sustainability.

Team Enablement

• Mentor and support engineers in technical and professional growth.

• Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Support onboarding and knowledge sharing.

• Provide clear technical direction while empowering autonomy.

Execution & Collaboration

• Own delivery from planning through production.

• Partner with Product, Design, and stakeholders on technical solutions.

• Align engineering execution with platform standards.

• Act as escalation point for technical challenges.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure performance, reliability, and production readiness.

• Participate in incident response and post-mortems.

• Improve workflows and tooling.

• Use automation and AI to boost efficiency and quality.

Key Skills

• Strong PHP/Laravel backend expertise.

• Experience with scalable high-performance systems.

• Knowledge of testing, documentation, and observability.

• SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, concurrency.

• Strong communication skills.

• Agile/Scrum experience.

• Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD exposure is a plus.

Required Experience

• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Experience on high-traffic mission-critical platforms.

• Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.

• Open-source or thought leadership is a plus.
