Job Overview:The Mechanical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment and systems within the facility. This role ensures the smooth functioning of mechanical operations, ensures compliance with safety standards, and manages a team of technicians and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:Supervision and Leadership:Lead, supervise, and train a team of mechanical technicians and workers. Delegate tasks to ensure the efficient execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Monitor and maintain daily work schedules for the team to ensure productivity.
Maintenance Operations:Oversee the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems and equipment such as HVAC, pumps, motors, compressors, conveyors, and other machinery. Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to and track equipment performance. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, minimizing downtime in production.
Safety and Compliance:Enforce safety protocols and ensure adherence to company safety policies and local regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment. Ensure all mechanical activities comply with environmental, health, and safety standards. Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and records of all mechanical operations. Prepare regular reports on the status of machinery, maintenance costs, and work progress. Ensure proper documentation of repairs, parts inventory, and service histories.
Continuous Improvement:Recommend improvements in mechanical processes to enhance efficiency and reliability. Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new mechanical technologies or systems.
Qualifications and Requirements:Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 8+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance or supervisory roles in a manufacturing of textile environment or similar environment.
