Job Description
The Senior Sales Manager will drive revenue growth and lead the sales strategy for the Saudi Maritime and Logistics Congress, focusing on lead generation, client engagement, and building a strong sales pipeline.
In this role, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, representing Tahaluf at industry events, and delivering high-quality reporting to relevant stakeholders while ensuring a seamless experience for exhibitors.
Sales Planning and Execution:
- Build and execute the sales plan for a new launch event.
- Achieve personal and event revenue targets independently, with a focus on lead sourcing, lead generation, and building a robust sales pipeline.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Conduct regular client meetings (face-to-face, phone, and email) to understand their challenges and guide them through the exhibitor process.
- Identify and engage with new prospects through cold outreach and social selling, ensuring a balance between in-person and virtual interactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including government partners, ensuring a high standard of representation for the business
- Guide exhibitors through the sales process, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Work closely with the Marketing team to design and execute campaigns that generate inquiries and drive sales.
- Collaborate with event delivery teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Visit competitor events to stay informed about industry trends and identify opportunities for differentiation in a highly competitive sector.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present sales forecasts and analysis to management, including risks, opportunities, wins, and losses.
- Ensure accurate and detailed reporting to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date customer records, pipelines, and account plans in CRM.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
- Proven track record in a Senior Sales Manager or similar role, with experience in exhibition events and solutions-based B2B sales.
- Demonstrable success in new business development and account management.
- Strong network of clients in at least one market/sector, with experience working with government partners and understanding the approach required.
- Experience in over-the-phone selling, with the ability to develop in-person sales skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create and deliver professional presentations.
