Cyber Security Architect - 6 Month Consultancy Contract - Riyadh
*** This is a consultancy contract and we require candidates who are immediately available with a transferable iqama. Candidates in a permanent role with long notice periods cannot be considered. ***
We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Architect to act as a trusted interface between clients, delivery teams, and third-party vendors, ensuring cybersecurity activities are well-governed, aligned, and delivered effectively across complex programmes.
This is not an implementation role. The focus is on oversight, facilitation, governance, and assurance of cybersecurity requirements and activities, working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities Client & Vendor Engagement Serve as the primary point of contact for all cybersecurity-related matters across client, internal teams, and external vendors Facilitate workshops, working sessions, and reviews with cybersecurity stakeholders Ensure clear alignment on cybersecurity scope, expectations, and responsibilities across all parties Cybersecurity Requirements & Assurance Review and assess cybersecurity requirements from clients and vendors to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with industry best practices Identify gaps, conflicts, or ambiguities in requirements and proactively drive resolution Validate that security requirements are appropriate, achievable, and correctly reflected in solution designs and delivery plans Governance & Project Oversight Coordinate and track cybersecurity activities within the wider project delivery framework Establish and maintain governance structures, including approvals, dependencies, and decision logging Identify cybersecurity risks, issues, and delivery impacts early, driving mitigation and escalation where required
Onsite Collaboration & Proactive Engagement Work onsite alongside the client’s cybersecurity team to enable close collaboration and timely decision-making Take a proactive approach, anticipating security needs, risks, and interdependencies rather than reacting to issues Provide clear, regular updates to programme and project leadership
Documentation & Control Maintain structured and auditable cybersecurity documentation, including requirements, risk registers, decisions, and action logs Ensure deliverables are well-managed, version-controlled, and traceable Support stakeholder alignment through clear, concise, and timely communication
Skills & Experience Strong background in cybersecurity architecture, controls, and risk management Hands-on understanding of cybersecurity tools and practices (knowledgeable rather than delivery-focused) Practical experience with penetration testing, threat modelling, and security assessments Proven experience in client-facing roles within large or complex environments Comfortable coordinating across multiple parties (clients, internal teams, vendors, and third parties) Solid project and delivery management capability, managing multiple parallel workstreams Highly organised, detail-oriented, and process-driven Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Willingness and ability to work onsite and collaborate closely with technical and security teams
