Job Overview
The Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures at project sites. The role ensures compliance with local regulations, company standards, and international safety practices to maintain a safe and incident-free working environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards on-site.
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Identify potential hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare detailed HSE reports and maintain accurate compliance records.
Coordinate safety activities with project managers, contractors, and subcontractors.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training programs.
Monitor work activities to ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare investigation reports.
Implement emergency response plans and conduct mock drills.
Ensure compliance with Saudi safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain safety signage, permits, and documentation.
Support management in developing and improving safety systems.
Essential QualificationsDiploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or a related field.
Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety qualification (Preferred).
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor or similar role.
Experience in construction, industrial, oil & gas, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Knowledge of Saudi HSE regulations and international safety standards.
Skills RequiredStrong knowledge of HSE policies, risk assessment, and hazard control.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to conduct safety training and awareness programs.
Good reporting and documentation skills.
Problem-solving and incident investigation abilities.
Leadership skills to guide and motivate workers on safety practices.
Proficiency in MS Office and report preparation.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
