Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Responsibilities:Develop and implement the overall investment and business development strategy in alignment with the club’s vision and objectives. Establish policies and strategic plans to diversify revenue streams and maximize returns on the club’s assets. Direct and coordinate the implementation of strategies and policies across the Investment and Business Development functions to ensure alignment and integration. Formulate the investment portfolio strategy and monitor its performance on a regular basis to achieve financial and strategic objectives. Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities in the real estate, commercial, and sports sectors. Manage and develop relationships with local and international investors, strategic partners, and relevant government entities. Oversee the development and performance of investment partnerships and joint venture models. Represent the department in relevant committees to ensure investment decisions align with the club’s overall objectives. Develop an investment governance framework to ensure transparency and efficiency in decision-making. Lead expansion and growth initiatives to achieve long-term financial and developmental sustainability. Develop internal capability-building programs to ensure institutional sustainability and excellence in investment management.
Operational Responsibilities:Conduct financial and economic feasibility studies for proposed projects, including risk and return assessments. Prepare financial models and analyze the performance of investment, real estate, and commercial projects. Lead negotiations for investment contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements. Manage project execution and monitoring to ensure operational objectives are achieved. Analyze market trends and provide recommendations on potential investment opportunities. Supervise the preparation of periodic reports on financial and developmental performance of investment projects. Monitor the department’s financial performance and ensure adherence to approved budgets. Prepare comprehensive performance reports for executive management, relevant committees, and the Board of Directors. Provide overall supervision of departmental teams and align efforts toward achieving operational objectives. Identify workforce requirements and develop training plans to enhance performance and efficiency. Manage investor and partner relations and provide ongoing support throughout project execution phases. Ensure compliance with approved policies, regulations, and procedures across all stages of investment project implementation.
Required Experience:9–12 years of progressive experience in: Investment management, business development, or corporate strategy, preferably within the sports, real estate, or entertainment sectors. Leading and executing large-scale commercial, real estate, or strategic projects from planning through implementation. Financial modeling, feasibility studies, and portfolio management to maximize asset returns. Developing and managing strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and investor relations.
