About the job ELECTRICAL BIM MODELER
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems including LV (Low Voltage), MV (Medium Voltage), substations, and distribution networks.
- Model and coordinate ELV systems such as CCTV, telecom, fire alarm, public address, and access control systems.
- Integrate electrical models with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines, ensuring clash-free coordination.
- Prepare drawings, schematics, and schedules directly from BIM models for construction, installation, and fabrication.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve conflicts in coordination with other disciplines.
- Support coordination workshops, interface reviews, and technical meetings with engineering, construction, and client teams.
- Maintain compliance with project BIM standards, LOD requirements, and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Track changes, update models, and maintain proper version control and documentation.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in electrical BIM modelling.
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manage for clash detection and model integration.
- Strong understanding of LV/MV systems, substations, cabling layouts, and ELV systems.
- Experience coordinating electrical systems in multi-discipline projects.
- Familiarity with BIM standards, ISO 19650, and BEP workflows.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams under project deadlines.
- Experience on GCC or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
