Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Reports to: Managing Director / CEOJob Summary The CFO is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy, planning, and management of the textile manufacturing company. This role ensures financial stability, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and supports business growth through strong financial leadership, particularly in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and export-oriented environments. Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Planning Develop and implement short-term and long-term financial strategies aligned with business goals Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Support expansion plans, capacity utilization, and capital investments (machinery, plants) Financial Operations & Control Oversee accounting, costing, treasury, taxation, and internal controls Ensure accurate product costing (yarn, fabric, processing, garments) and margin analysis Monitor working capital, inventory, receivables, and payables Manufacturing & Cost Management Drive cost control initiatives across production, procurement, and logistics Analyze raw material price fluctuations (cotton, yarn, chemicals) and mitigate risks Improve operational efficiency and reduce wastage Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, audit, and regulatory requirements Manage internal and external audits Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies Cash Flow & Treasury Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing arrangements Oversee loans, credit facilities, forex exposure, and hedging (if export-oriented) Leadership & Stakeholder Management Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team Present financial reports to the Board, investors, and lenders Work closely with production, procurement, sales, and HR teams Qualifications & Experience Chartered Accountant (CA) / CPA / MBA (Finance)10–15+ years of experience in finance, preferably in textile or manufacturing industries Strong knowledge of manufacturing costing, inventory management, and taxation Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) Exposure to exports, forex management, and government incentives is an advantage Key Skills Strategic thinking and financial leadership Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Deep understanding of textile manufacturing processes Excellent communication and stakeholder management High integrity and attention to detail
