Job Title : Logistics Coordinator Location : Saudi Arabia
Role Purpose: The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the efficient flow of goods, information, and transportation to meet internal and external customer requirements. This role involves coordinating shipments, tracking deliveries, liaising with vendors and carriers, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.
DUTIES PREFORMEDKey Accountabilities Key Activities Shipping and Delivery Coordination Schedule and monitor all incoming and outgoing shipments. Liaise with transport carriers, freight forwarders, and customs agents. Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of goods per schedule. Address and resolve delays, shipment damages, or lost goods. Inventory and Warehouse Support Coordinate with warehouse teams for stock movements and availability Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies. Assist in physical inventory counts and reconciliations. Support in organizing warehouse layout for efficient logistics flow. Documentation and Compliance Prepare accurate shipping documents (BOLs, packing lists, invoices). Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and customs procedures. Maintain records of shipment details, vendor files, and logistics performance. Comply with company procurement and logistics SOPs. Vendor and Stakeholder Communication Maintain contact with suppliers, carriers, and service providers. Provide delivery updates to internal teams and clients. Assist in resolving supplier or transportation-related disputes. Coordinate with procurement, sales, and finance departments. Logistics Reporting and Process Improvement Track KPIs such as on-time delivery, freight cost, and carrier performance Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and recommend solutions. Support continuous improvement projects in logistics operations. Contribute to cost-saving initiatives through route and carrier optimization. SPECIFICATIONS:Industry / Domain Construction Necessary Knowledge and Experience 2–4 years of experience in logistics, shipping coordination, or supply chain. Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms. Familiarity with stock control, warehousing techniques, and material handling practices. · Awareness of import/export documentation, shipping papers, and regulatory compliance (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, certificates of origin). Working knowledge of logistics modules in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics. Basic understanding of HSE standards in logistics and transportation environments. Knowledge of effective communication and problem-solving methods for internal and external coordination. Education and Certification Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field. Certification in logistics or supply chain (e.g., APICS, CILT) is a plus. Job Specific Technical Skills Ability to schedule, track, and monitor shipments to ensure timely deliveries. Skilled in coordinating transportation, warehousing, and inventory movements. Strong skills in preparing and reviewing shipping documents, delivery notes, and inventory reports. Capable of generating logistics reports and maintaining accurate records. Able to analyze logistics data and identify cost-saving and efficiency improvement opportunities. Excellent coordination and communication skills with vendors, carriers, warehouse staff, and internal teams. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
