Job Purpose
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at the workplace. The role focuses on promoting a safe working environment, preventing accidents, and ensuring adherence to Saudi labour laws and company safety policies.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and enforce safety policies in compliance with laws and regulations
· Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections to identify hazards
· Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards
· Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
· Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees
· Monitor use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
· Maintain safety records and documentation
· Implement emergency preparedness plans (fire, evacuation, first aid, etc.)
· Coordinate with management and workers to improve safety culture
· Stop unsafe work practices and take corrective measures when required
Skills
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Nationality: Saudi National
· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
· NEBOSH IGC / IOSH / OSHA certification
· Minimum 2–4 years of experience as a Safety Officer (industry-specific experience is a plus).
· Strong knowledge of Saudi HSE laws, standards, and best practices.
· Good communication skills in Arabic (English is an advantage).
· Ability to work independently and handle site-based responsibilities.
