Job Summary
The Site Engineer contributes to the successful delivery of project objectives by supporting planning and scheduling activities, managing resources, monitoring costs, providing technical guidance, and ensuring full compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in project planning activities, including site layout, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and efficient project execution. Supervise on-site activities, monitoring progress, workmanship quality, and compliance with safety regulations and building codes. Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely resolution of site issues. Manage procurement, delivery, and storage of materials and equipment to ensure uninterrupted site operations. Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to site teams and subcontractors, addressing operational and technical challenges. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, site records, progress updates, and as-built drawings. Enforce health and safety regulations on-site by conducting regular inspections, risk assessments, and corrective actions. Monitor project costs and expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support budget control initiatives. Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns. Support HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness programs, and contribute to incident reporting in line with company and IMS policies.
Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline. Valid SCE Registration is a must6 years of relevant site engineering experience. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, methods, materials, and structural systems. Proficiency in construction tools, equipment, and software such as Auto CAD, project management systems, and surveying instruments. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address construction challenges efficiently. Solid understanding of occupational health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards). Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. ERP knowledge is required; SAP functional experience is highly preferred. GCC experience is considered a plus.
