Job Summary:

Adopt a balanced approach aimed at reaching a fair and equitable position enabling long-term solutions, Handle litigation and dispute resolution by communicating and negotiating with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc.), prepare timely reports to the Legal Affairs on related matters and, review and analyze prosecution trends and outcomes, to ensure alignment with international best practices and identify potential conflicting statements or areas of further investigation, and ensure accuracy and quality of documents are maintained, in accordance with the organization’s legal protocol and provide claims analysis as well as avoidance and mitigation strategies on activities and projects with significant financial, legal and reputational exposure to the organization, contribute to the development of Legal policies, procedures, and processes for the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide support in protecting and defending the organization from any legal disputes, claims, or other legal consequences in line with organizational objectives.
  • The incumbent will prepare the necessary briefs / documents for lawsuits involving the organization and ensure strong legal representation for the organization.
  • Contribute to the development of Legal policies, procedures, and processes for the organization, as required by the Legal Manager.
  • Provide to the Legal Affairs Manager in developing and updating the Dispute Resolution Guidelines, manage and review the validity of disputes between parties, and ensure compliance with the organization’s quality standards, processes, and strategy.
  • Conduct investigations required to facilitate the case, assess evidence, request and overseeing technical or economic expertise, draft reports, and prepare interim and / or final decisions.
  • Assist the Legal Affairs Manager in drafting and proof-reading contracts, agreements, MoU’s, and templates, and identify potential conflicting statements or areas of further investigation, and ensure accuracy and quality of documents are maintained, in accordance with the organization’s legal protocol and provide claims analysis as well as avoidance and mitigation strategies on activities and projects with significant financial, legal and reputational exposure to the organization.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel.
  • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
  • Execute procedures for protecting patents, trademarks, and industrial designs.
  • Interpret corresponding implications of the legislation on the organization including laws, rulings, and regulations, and advise the organization on how to proceed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and other formalities.
  • Keep up with current changes in all relevant areas of laws, maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation, and contribute to the enhancement of the knowledge base of the organization’s legal function.
  • Representing the company in multiple judicial bodies.
  • Helping in the legal department structure and monitor the implementation of legal provisions.
  • Prepare draft legal opinions in response to queries raised, following general instructions by conducting legal analysis and researching legal matters.
  • Perform preliminary review of the legal aspects of project proposals, draft agreements, correspondence, and other texts and provide appropriate comments to the corresponding supervisor.

  • Ensure quality assurance of any documents produced or communicated by the organization in court proceedings and/or dispute resolution processes case pleadings, statutory requests for information, and instruct external counsel when applicable. develop and maintain a database on litigations, disputes, and complaints, ensure cases are accurately logged and tracked in line with organization’s database management protocol.

Education, Certifications and Qualifications:

Holds a bachelor’s degree in law with the relevant practical experience of 5 years with in-house legal department experience.
