The What


As a Government Relations Officer you will have a diverse and varied role. Here are just some of the things you’ll be getting involved with:


• Prepare and complete documents for the application and upkeep of TAG company Trade Licenses

and business operating permits and renewals.


• Process applications and input documentation on Government portals to facilitate various internal and external business requirements, including but not limited to; financial, immigration,

technology, foreign embassies etc.


• Coordinate and submit official visa applications to Embassies, Consulates, Immigration, or other

Government offices.


• Accompany Client and/or Staff on visits of such offices if required.


• Prepare and maintain relevant documentation related to new starters, leavers, transfers and

renewals.


• Keep records of Company and Staff registrations to track expiry dates and action advance renewal processes as appropriate.


• Conduct necessary liaison with Government departments on behalf of TAG for general business

operating needs to be met or to enable the set-up of new legal entities etc. Make visits to such

departments if required.


• Attend Police Stations, Courts, Ministry of Labour and other Government organizations or TAG

supplier businesses to represent the Company accordingly.


• Validate documents ensuring any required approvals are completed and information is accurate

prior to submitting to internal or external departments/persons.


• Respond to staff enquiries on visa, passport, labor or other general matters.


• Liaise with suppliers and third-party providers as appropriate.


• Proactively maintain knowledge of current labor and immigration laws and update HR or other

applicable TAG personnel of any upcoming changes.


• Provide administrative and general support as may be needed for the smooth running of the

office/s.


• Protect the interest of TAG in accordance with governmental authorities, laws and regulation, and

report any significant problems or concerns that may jeopardize TAG business operations or the

achievement of company goals to the TAG KSA management team.


Other responsibilities of the job:


• Stay knowledgeable and skilled in the operation of Government portals, TAG systems and all

related tasks or procedures.


• Seek supporting input of direct line manager or relevant management teams to ensure effective

and efficient fulfillment of tasks and responsibilities.


• Perform other job-related activities as required, and other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

We work flexibly to accommodate our TAG team colleagues, meaning on occasion there could be requirements outside of office hours to manage time zones and other work commitments. As a Government Relations Officer there are several credentials and attributes which would be advantageous, but a determined attitude and willingness to learn, are equally important.


• Education to Degree/Graduate level or higher


• In lieu of education – equivalent combination of education and directly related experience


• Minimum 3 years previous experience in a GRO or similar role


• Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken


• Excellent ties with government agencies and organizations


• Operating knowledge of government portals and business systems


• Strong understanding of KSA policies, procedures, work methods


• Valid and clear Saudi driving license with use of own car


• Proven record of working in a fast-paced environment


The Where and When


This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) based in our Riyadh office. Since March 2020, we have operated a flexible, hybrid approach to working and will continue to do this moving forward. We will work with you to find the best mix of office and home working that suits your life and the needs of the team.


You will report into the KSA General Manager, who is based in Riyadh, KSA. There are other regional teams based globally that you may work closely with too. The holder of this job role is required to be a Saudi National.
