JASARA PMC is seeking a visionary Smart Cities Manager as part of our Expression of Interest (EOI) initiative. As the Smart Cities Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of smart city projects that enhance urban living through innovative technologies. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, including government entities, private sector partners, and community representatives, to create sustainable, efficient, and inclusive urban environments.
You will leverage your expertise in smart technologies, urban planning, and project management to deliver solutions that improve city services, infrastructure, and overall quality of life for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic direction of smart city initiatives in alignment with JASARA PMC's vision and goals
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to design and execute smart city projects
- Engage with community stakeholders and policymakers to ensure inclusivity and viability of smart solutions
- Identify and assess emerging technologies that can be implemented to enhance urban infrastructure and services
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for smart city projects
- Facilitate workshops and consultations to gather input from community members and stakeholders
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders on project progress and outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices related to smart city development
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in IT Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management or urban development, with a focus on smart technologies
- Comprehensive understanding of smart city frameworks, technologies, and best practices
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and community consultation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Experience in sustainable urban development and innovation management
- Professional certifications related to smart cities are a plus
