Purpose of Job
Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives. Jobholders might act as internal consultants and facilitators through providing guidance to deliver and perform operational activities. Their main operational role includes participating in regional Gulf/Arab events and tax and customs forums, developing engagement plan for regional Gulf/Arab agreements and treaties, managing relationships with regional Gulf/Arab organizations and government authorities, participating in Free Trade Agreement negotiations, and formulating KSA positions in treaties and agreements.
Job Resposiblites
International Relations Management
- Participate in international events and tax and customs forums to broaden ZATCA networks, promote KSA image and stay up to date on all international affairs and key discussion topics
- Identify list of potential international organizations and countries to cooperate with, and evaluate feasibility impact and benefits of prospect relationships
- Develop engagement plan for international agreements and treaties with global tax and customs authorities and organizations
- Develop and maintain relationships with international organizations and foreign government authorities to strengthen the Kingdom’s position on international taxation and customs matters
- Coordinate for the hosting of international events to enhance and expand ZATCA’s reputation, image and credibility
- Coordinate and perform strategic visits to international authorities and organizations to maintain ZATCA’s international relationships and strengthen bond
- Organize and conduct workshops, seminars, and trainings programs on international tax and customs matters for key stakeholders
- Conduct meetings with foreign government authorities on various issues related to tax and customs and zakat
Free Trade Agreements
- Prepare KSA positions on Free Trade Agreement
- Participate in Free Trade Agreement negotiations
- Respond to questionnaires and surveys received from international organizations on Free Trade Agreement in a timely manner
- Interpret the implementation of FTA and multilateral agreements
- Contact focal points to activate the agreement
- Identify and establish cooperation through the approved MOU
Organization and Operations
- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
- Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
- Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
- Perform other duties as requested
People Management
- Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
- Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes

Eductaion
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Public Relations, or equivalent is required
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Public Relations, or equivalent is preferred
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
