Network Operations Supervisor

Purpose of Job

Jobholders at this level are responsible for leading work activities and working autonomously with minor direction towards predetermined long-term objectives.

Jobholders oversee the implementation of operational plans and the provision of significant improvements to set policies, procedures, standards, and reports.

Their main operational role includes monitoring the installation, maintenance, and upgrades of ZATCA networks. Provide expert support in handling incidents and solving problems related to IT networks to maximize availability and reliability. Review and analyze IT networks performance/health reports to provide direction for improvements.

Job Resposiblites

Networks Operation Management


  • Understand ZATCA’s networks operations and functionality to accordingly be able to perform needed maintenance and solve any raised issue properly
  • Stay updated with all network capacity, expansion, and rollout plans, handle necessary network installations, upgrades, and maintenance as planned in cooperation with all stakeholders and functions, and report any defects to the relevant IT functions to take corrective actions
  • Review change requests related to networks, evaluate their impact on IT strategy and IT enterprise architecture, set priorities and schedules in cooperation with relevant functions, and execute the change requests accordingly
  • Implement networks infrastructure and connectivity business continuity and disaster recovery policies, frameworks, and mitigation plans in order to confirm their effectiveness, report issues and gaps to the relevant IT functions, and highlight recommendations for improvement
  • Monitor the performance, health, and safety of IT network and datacentre facilities connectivity, generate performance reports against set of KPIs, assess the best course of action for optimization and improvement, and communicate reports to the relevant functions


Organization and Operations


  • Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
  • Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
  • Perform other duties as requested


People Management


  • Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
  • Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility, and monitor the workflow of subordinates/ junior staff
  • Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes

Eductaion


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent is required
  • Master’s degree in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent is preferred
