Job Purpose:
The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in the procurement process by sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring goods and services efficiently. Their primary goal is to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement while upholding quality standards and compliance.
What is Delivered:
- Efficiently source and buy goods/services.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with procurement rules.
- Save costs and streamline processes.
- Maintain vendor listings and qualifications, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
- Handle prequalification documents for potential bidders and compile NDAs.
- Assist in compiling Initial Tender List, Final Tender List, Expressions of Interest.
- Help maintain the project tender database.
- Manage tender processes, including responses, interviews, and openings.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to maximize value creation for Misk City, resulting in cost savings and improved supplier relationships.
- Ensure the delivery of all services and products meets accepted quality and delivery standards, enhancing operational efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain efficient and uninterrupted procurement processes for Misk City, optimizing resource utilization and project timelines.
- Enforce compliance with established Procurement policies, standards, and procedures, mitigating risks and ensuring transparency.
- Consistently deploy best practices in procurement, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Facilitate accurate and timely procurement activity by issuing Purchase Orders.
- Fulfil additional tasks and duties as required by management.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree: supply chain, finance, business administration, or related fields of Engineering or Operations Management. Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Procurement. Real estate background is preferred.
