Senior Finance Manager

The financial function is the responsibility of the Senior Manager of Finance. Financial reports, budgeting activities, direct investment activities, business cases, and the development of strategies and plans for the organization's long-term financial objectives are all produced by them.


Key Accountabilities & Activities


Planning, Strategy, Implementation and continuous monitoring/ improvement


  • Develop and implement financial strategies and long financial planning for the organization.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Implement strategies to minimize financial risk.
  • Monitor and interpret cash flows and predict future trends.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out.
  • Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations.
  • Maintain good relationships with key clients and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management.
  • Lead financial audits and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Manage and oversee the organization's budgeting and investments.
  • Analyze complex financial data and extract and define relevant information.
  • Interpret financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.


Relationship Management


  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of management within the organization to ensure that finance is both supporting and challenging the business in achieving its objectives.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all financial matters, providing clear, accurate, and timely financial advice.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders such as auditors, solicitors, bankers, and statutory organizations to ensure the smooth running of all financial matters.
  • Develop and maintain systems that will ensure the effective management of the organization's financial resources.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of high performance, continuous improvement and shared objectives.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the finance department.


Background, Skills & Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills and Experience


  • A master’s degree in finance, Accounting or Economics or any other related field or bachelor’s degree with minimum of 10 years’ experience in the same field.
  • Professional qualification such as CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager.
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
  • Proficient user of finance software.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting models.
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.


Qualifications
