- Manage the complete execution of painting and coating projects, from mobilization through completion and final handover.
- Coordinate with Saudi Aramco representatives, PMC/consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, QA/QC, HSE, engineering, and operations teams.
- Review project scope, specifications, drawings, coating systems, procedures, and contractual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi Aramco engineering standards, specifications, approved procedures, and inspection requirements.
- Plan and control manpower, equipment, materials, access requirements, and other resources required for project execution.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, productivity targets, manpower plans, and progress against the baseline schedule.
- Supervise and coordinate surface preparation, abrasive blasting, primer application, intermediate coating, topcoat application, touch-up, repair, and final coating activities.
- Ensure environmental conditions such as temperature, relative humidity, steel temperature, and dew point are monitored before and during coating application.
- Coordinate QA/QC inspections, including surface profile, visual inspection, dry film thickness (DFT), adhesion testing, holiday testing, and other required inspections.
- Ensure all coating materials are approved, properly stored, handled, mixed, and applied according to the approved coating system and manufacturer’s requirements.
- Monitor project costs, operational expenses, material consumption, manpower productivity, and equipment utilization to achieve cost-effective execution.
- Manage variations, additional works, claims, and commercial documentation in coordination with the commercial team.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly progress reviews and submit accurate progress reports to management and the client.
- Identify project risks, delays, technical issues, and cost impacts and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE requirements, including permit-to-work, work at height, confined space, abrasive blasting, scaffolding, hazardous materials, and other relevant safety requirements.
- Lead project meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Ensure proper completion of punch-list items, final inspection, documentation, and project handover.
- Lead and motivate the project team to achieve safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and financial objectives.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong knowledge of industrial painting, protective coating, abrasive blasting, and corrosion protection.
- Good understanding of Saudi Aramco project execution requirements.
- Strong project planning, cost control, and resource management skills.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC and coating inspection requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts under demanding project schedules.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of HSE requirements for industrial coating activities.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- AMPP/NACE or BGAS2 certification.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
- Extensive experience in painting and coating projects within oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or industrial facilities.
- Minimum 10 years’ Experience working on Saudi Aramco projects is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling/reporting tools.
