We are seeking an experienced Senior Irrigation Engineer to lead the design, planning, and optimization of irrigation systems for large-scale landscaping and infrastructure projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive efficient and sustainable irrigation solutions from concept through execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of advanced irrigation systems (drip, sprinkler, subsurface) for complex projects Perform and review hydraulic calculations, including pipe sizing, pressure zoning, and system optimization Oversee preparation of irrigation layouts, detailed drawings, and design documentation Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and technical specifications Coordinate closely with landscape architects, civil engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration Manage design coordination meetings and resolve multidisciplinary clashes Ensure compliance with project requirements, local regulations, and sustainability standards Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers Support project teams during tendering, estimation, and value engineering stages Evaluate new technologies, materials, and suppliers to improve system efficiency and cost-effectiveness Conduct site visits to support installation, testing, and commissioning of irrigation systems Identify risks and propose technical solutions to ensure timely project delivery
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Irrigation Engineering, or related field8–12 years of experience in irrigation design, preferably within landscaping projects Strong proficiency in Auto CAD, Civil 3D, and Rain CADProven experience in large-scale landscape or infrastructure projects Experience in GCC projects is a strong advantage
