1. Role Purpose The Enterprise Application Architect is responsible for maintaining the enterprise application architecture baseline, ensuring the application portfolio is complete, accurate, consistently classified, and aligned with business capabilities, ownership, lifecycle status, and governance requirements.
2. Key Responsibilities The Enterprise Application Architect is responsible for:Maintaining the Application Portfolio Register. Ensuring new applications, platforms, services, integrations, and retired items are captured. Maintaining application-to-business-capability mapping. Supporting application metadata completeness, including purpose, criticality, data classification, hosting, interfaces, support model, RTO/RPO, and lifecycle status. Maintaining application ownership and accountability records. Running or coordinating periodic reconciliation of the application portfolio against available sources. Ensuring obsolete or retired applications are removed from current baseline views. Supporting evidence collection for audit and governance. Raising gaps and initiatives where application architecture issues require remediation.
