We are seeking a Procurement Manager with tangible practical experience in a fast-growing business environment to join our team in Riyadh and take responsibility for leading procurement functions and implementing best practices to ensure value enhancement, cost reduction, and improved service and product quality.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy aligned with the company’s goals, budget, and strategic plans.
  • Manage negotiations with key suppliers, evaluate bids, and prepare supply and equipment contracts as needed.
  • Lead the procurement team, develop their skills, evaluate performance, and identify training needs.
  • Build and develop a supplier database, assess their performance, and align them with quality and compliance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international procurement, sourcing, and transparency policies and regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Finance, Inventory, Operations) to ensure material availability on time and at the lowest possible cost.
  • Manage supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to ensure operational continuity.
  • Prepare periodic reports to senior management on procurement KPIs, production costs, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5 to 15 years of hands-on experience in procurement or supply management, with prior leadership experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, negotiation, and contract drafting.
  • Familiarity with compliance, transparency, and risk management standards within the Saudi business environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and ERP/MRP concepts and performance tracking systems.
  • Essential: experience in contracting with contracting companies, heavy equipment, spare parts procurement and supply.
