We are seeking an experienced Primavera Planning Engineer with a strong background in structural steel, PEB, industrial, commercial, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, updating, and controlling project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring projects are delivered on time while supporting project teams with planning, reporting, and resource management.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare baseline project schedules using Primavera P6
- Develop detailed project work breakdown structures (WBS)
- Prepare project execution schedules from award to handover
- Monitor project progress against the approved baseline
- Update project schedules on a weekly and monthly basis
- Identify schedule deviations and recommend recovery plans
- Prepare recovery and acceleration programs
- Perform critical path analysis
- Monitor project milestones and deliverables
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Production, and Fabrication teams
- Prepare look-ahead schedules (2-week, 4-week, and monthly)
- Monitor engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and erection activities
- Track manpower, equipment, and material resources
- Coordinate procurement activities with project schedules
- Monitor fabrication progress in the workshop
- Monitor steel erection progress at site
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
- Prepare client progress presentations
- Prepare S-Curves (Planned vs Actual)
- Generate Earned Value Analysis (EVA) reports
- Prepare manpower histograms
- Prepare equipment histograms
- Prepare productivity analysis reports
- Prepare delay analysis reports
- Assist in Extension of Time (EOT) claims
- Maintain project schedule revisions
- Coordinate with consultants and clients regarding schedule updates
- Review subcontractor schedules
- Ensure schedule compliance with contractual milestones
- Support tender planning when required
- Participate in project progress meetings
- Prepare executive dashboards and KPI reports
- Maintain project documentation related to planning
- Ensure timely submission of planning reports
- Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams for planned inspections
- Support project close-out and handover planning
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 4–8 years of planning experience
- Minimum 3 years of Saudi Arabia (KSA) construction experience preferred
- Experience in Steel Structure, PEB, Industrial Buildings, Warehouses, Commercial Buildings, Oil & Gas, or Infrastructure Projects
- Primavera P6 certification is an advantage
- SCE (Saudi Council of Engineers) registration is a plus

- Knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection sequencing
- Familiarity with engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, and site erection workflows
- Excellent reporting, analytical, and coordination skills
- Immediate joiners or candidates with Saudi Arabia (KSA) experience are preferred
