Job Overview:The Service Now Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining solutions on the Service Now platform. The role includes supporting Service Now modules, developing platform components, integrating Service Now with third-party systems, and ensuring delivered solutions meet business and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:• Design, develop, and customize applications and solutions on the Service Now platform.• Configure and enhance Service Now modules based on business requirements.• Develop and maintain Service Now components such as Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Workflows, and Flow Designer.• Create and customize forms, fields, tables, views, and UI actions.• Integrate Service Now with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.• Develop reports and dashboards to support business and operational needs.• Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.• Participate in requirement gathering and translate business needs into technical solutions.• Support Service Now platform upgrades and ensure backward compatibility.• Maintain technical documentation and follow Service Now development best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.• 3+ years of experience as a Service Now Developer or in a similar Service Now technical role.• Strong knowledge of Service Now scripting, architecture, and platform development.• Hands-on experience with Java Script, Glide API, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Workflows, and Flow Designer.• Experience configuring and customizing Service Now modules such as ITSM, CMDB, Service Catalog, and Knowledge Management.• Good understanding of ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.• Hands-on experience with Service Now integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:• Service Now certifications such as CSA, CAD, or CIS – ITSM.• ITIL knowledge or certification is a plus.• Experience with HRSD, CSM, or Sec Ops modules.• Knowledge of CMDB best practices and data modeling.• Experience working in enterprise or large-scale environments.
