We are currently seeking a highly accomplished Business Development Director to join a leading Engineering Consultancy firm in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving business growth, securing major engineering consultancy projects, building strategic client relationships, and leading business development activities within the Saudi Arabian engineering, construction, and development sectors.
Key Responsibilities• Develop and execute business development and market growth strategies aligned with company objectives.• Identify, pursue, and secure new engineering consultancy opportunities across public and private sectors.• Build and maintain strong relationships with government entities, developers, project owners, and key industry stakeholders.• Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of technical and commercial proposals, RFQs, RFPs, and tenders.• Monitor market trends, upcoming projects, competitors, and client requirements within the engineering and construction sectors.• Manage the business development pipeline and oversee lead generation activities to achieve growth targets.• Negotiate contracts, strategic partnerships, and consultancy agreements.• Collaborate closely with technical teams to position the firm's engineering capabilities effectively.• Strengthen the company's market presence and support strategic marketing initiatives.• Prepare business development reports, forecasts, and market intelligence for executive management.
Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Development within an Engineering Consultancy firm.• Strong understanding of the Engineering Consultancy, Construction, Infrastructure, Real Estate Development, and Project Management sectors in Saudi Arabia.• Demonstrated success in winning consultancy projects and achieving business growth targets.• Proven experience managing tenders, proposals, client engagement, and contract negotiations.• Strong network within government entities, giga-projects, developers, contractors, and project stakeholders across Saudi Arabia.• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.• Previous experience working within Saudi Arabia is highly preferred.
