Roles and Responsibilities Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding cable sizing, routing, and installation. Develop relationships with vendors to negotiate prices and terms for procurement of cables and related materials. Conduct site visits to inspect existing installations and provide recommendations for improvement or replacement of cables. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate estimation of cables, connectors, and other components required for electrical systems. Prepare detailed estimates for cable harnesses, including material takeoff from drawings and vendor quotations.
Desired Candidate Profile
5-10 years of experience in estimation engineering (cable) with a degree in Electrical or EEE field. Strong knowledge of cable manufacturing processes, types of cables (e.g., power, control), and relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC). Proficiency in design engineering software such as AutoCAD or equivalent; familiarity with tendering procedures preferred.
