Planning Engineer – Steel Structure Company

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in steel structure fabrication and erection projects. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource allocation, and coordination with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery plans, and look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays and risks.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, fabrication teams, and clients regarding project timelines.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Track fabrication, delivery, and erection activities against approved schedules.
• Analyze project performance and recommend corrective actions when required.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material utilization.
• Prepare project cash flow forecasts and productivity reports.
• Attend project review meetings and provide planning updates.
• Ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in Steel Structure, Structural Steel, or Construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
• Excellent knowledge of project scheduling, resource planning, and progress monitoring.
• Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous GCC/KSA experience is highly preferred.
• Experience in large-scale steel structure projects.
• Immediate joiners will be given preference.
