Roles & Responsibilities
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on optimizing clinical workflows, enhancing EMR adoption, and bridging the gap between clinicians and technology across hospital and outpatient environments.
The role includes:
Leading clinical informatics operations and EMR optimization (InterSystems TrakCare preferred)
Partnering closely with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, and allied health teams
Driving clinical workflow improvement, analytics, training, and change management
Managing and developing a growing informatics team across multiple facilities
Supporting digital transformation initiatives that directly improve patient care and operational efficiency
Supports system enhancements, upgrades, adhocs and patch fixes in coordination with Intersystems.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in health informatics, Nursing, Medicine, IT, or related field (required)
Master's degree (preferred)
CPHIMS, PMP, or EMR vendor certifications (preferred)
Clinical licensure (RN, MD, allied health) is a distinct advantage
Experience
7+ years in healthcare IT / clinical informatics; 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
Hands-on experience with Hakeem (InterSystems TrakCare), Epic, Cerner, or equivalent EMR/EHR
Strong understanding of clinical workflows — medical, nursing, pharmacy, radiology, lab, allied health
Experience in clinical content development, EMR implementations, and multi-facility operations
Familiarity with CBAHI, MOH, CHI/NPHIES regulations (preferred)
