Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is tailored for candidates with a background from Egypt, Syria, or Sudan and who are pursuing an internship within the safety domain. The successful candidate will support the organization’s safety program, assist in the implementation of health and safety policies, and contribute to creating a safe and compliant work environment across multiple sites and operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Health and Safety programs, policies, and procedures in line with local regulations and international best practices.
- Conduct site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards, near-misses, and non-compliance, and support corrective actions with timely follow-up.
- Support incident investigation processes, collect data, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
- Assist in risk assessments and the management of safe work practices (SWPs) for daily operations, including permit-to-work and asset integrity checks.
- Coordinate safety training sessions, orientation programs, and toolbox talks for employees and contractors, tracking training records and certifications.
- Maintain and organize safety documentation, records, and metrics to support management reviews and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety, spark continuous improvement, and ensure emergency preparedness and response readiness.
- Support the procurement of safety equipment and PPE, ensuring proper usage, storage, and maintenance.
- Assist in conducting safety communications and awareness campaigns to reinforce safe behaviors across sites.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or pursuing) with a focus on safety, environmental health, occupational health and safety, or a related discipline.
- Internship or practical experience in safety management, health and safety compliance, or a related role is preferred.
- Eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia and the ability to collaborate with multinational teams.
- Strong understanding of local health and safety regulations and standards relevant to the region.
- Good command of English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage for local communication.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team and with contractors.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to changes, and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
