Key Responsibilities

• Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, grinding, sanding, and blasting.
• Apply primer, epoxy, polyurethane, and other protective coatings using spray guns, rollers, or brushes.
• Mix paint materials according to specifications and manufacturer instructions.
• Inspect surfaces and completed work to ensure proper coating thickness and quality.
• Operate painting and blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform touch-up and maintenance painting when required.
• Follow project specifications, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean condition.
• Coordinate with supervisors and QA/QC inspectors for quality compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in industrial or steel painting.
• Knowledge of surface preparation and coating applications.
• Familiarity with airless spray painting equipment.
• Understanding of painting safety procedures.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces if required.
• Physically fit and capable of handling industrial work environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in construction, or steel fabrication industries.
• Knowledge of coating inspection standards.
• Ability to read basic technical specifications and drawings.
• Sandblasting experience is an advantage.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical training in industrial painting preferred.

Working Conditions

• Indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
• Exposure to paint fumes, dust, and chemicals while using proper safety equipment.
• May require overtime and shift work.
