Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented AV CAD Designer to join our Engineering team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality project designs, ensuring compliance with company standards, and collaborating closely with internal teams, project managers, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand and integrate all company products and solutions into designs
• Review and organize project drawings from consultants and contractors
• Develop project layouts, schematic diagrams, and single-line diagrams
• Prepare and maintain project data tables
• Collaborate with Project Managers for complete design coverage
• Communicate with stakeholders on all design-related matters
• Ensure adherence to company design standards
• Support and train CAD drafters
• Ensure timely submission of design deliverables
• Obtain internal approvals before client submission
• Generate reports using design software
• Maintain project tracking via management tools
• Verify design quantities against BOQ
• Develop base software programs for commissioning
• Propose innovative and creative design solutions
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies
• Coordinate with operations and site teams
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (relevant field), OR
• Diploma in Design with relevant experience
Experience
• 2–3 years AutoCAD experience (with a degree), OR
• 6 years of experience (with a diploma)
Skills & Competencies
• Proficiency in the latest AutoCAD versions
• Experience with Lutron design software
• Strong engineering systems understanding
• Strong English communication (written & spoken)
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
• Strong email and stakeholder communication
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
