Role overviewTo function as a Cashier for Calo and support front-of-house operations by ensuring a smooth, fast, and friendly customer experience. You will work closely with the Cafe Manager to handle transactions efficiently while maintaining high service standards aligned with Calo’s culture and values.
In addition, you will support dispatch operations by coordinating order flow and ensuring timely and accurate handover of orders for delivery or pickup.
The successful candidate will use their attention to detail and interpersonal skills to play a key role in delivering a seamless customer journey.
Main ResponsibilitiesAccurately take customer orders and process payments using the POS system
Ensure all transactions (cash, card, digital payments) are handled efficiently and correctly
Maintain a positive and professional approach with customers while representing Calo’s culture and values
Be attentive to customer needs, preferences, and inquiries
Upsell menu items and promote current offers or combos when relevant
Coordinate with the kitchen and operations teams to ensure timely order preparation and readiness
Monitor order flow and prioritize dispatching based on delivery timelines and service standards
Verify order accuracy, packaging, and labeling before handing over to drivers or customers
Communicate clearly with delivery drivers/riders to ensure smooth and timely dispatch of orders
Track and manage delivery statuses, highlighting delays or issues to the relevant teams
Ensure proper handover of orders while maintaining food safety and quality standards
Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and front-of-house space
Follow proper cash handling procedures, including opening and closing balances
Comply with and enforce sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
Ideal CandidateQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in QSR or F&B
Experience in dispatching or order handling is a plus
Currently present in KSA
Proficient in English (Arabic is a plus)
Basic numerical skills and familiarity with POS systems
Knowledge and competencyStrong understanding of customer service principles
Ability to handle high-volume transactions with accuracy
Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Basic understanding of order dispatching and delivery coordination
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
