Job Summary:The Contract Administrator will support the Contracts Department in the review, administration and management of New Installation Contracts and Service Contracts. The role requires hands-on involvement in the full contract life cycle; from pre-award review and risk identification through to post-award administration, claims support and close-out. The successful candidate will serve as a key coordination link between the Contracts Department and other internal departments, including Sales and Operations, ensuring contractual obligations are understood, tracked, and met across the organization. Key Responsibilities:Review and draft contracts, subcontracts, and agreements Prepare structured contract review summaries and risk registers using standardized templates and tools. Identify and flag non-standard, unusual, or onerous clauses and escalate findings to the stakeholders and follow up for the closure of the same. Track and maintain a log of active contracts, key dates, obligations, milestones and notice deadlines. Prepare, review and issue contractual notices, correspondence, and formal communications in accordance with contract requirements. Maintain accurate and organized contract files, registers, and document management records. Assist in the preparation and submission of payment applications, variation requests, and claims. Support the tracking and follow-up of outstanding claims, open items, and dispute resolution actions. Assist in preparing subcontract documentation and letters under supervision of senior staff. Support the Operations team by translating contractual requirements into actionable site-level obligations and checklists. Assist in the preparation and substantiation of extension of time (EoT) claims and additional cost claims. Maintain a claims log and track the status of submitted and received claims. Support the collection and organization of contemporary records, site records and supporting evidence for claims. Assist in reviewing and responding to claims, notices and correspondence received from clients or subcontractors. Prepare periodic contractual status reports for the Contracts Manager and project leadership. Support preparation of management-level contract summaries as required. Qualifications & Education Bachelor’s degree in law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of practical, hands-on experience in contract administration or commercial management within construction or related industries. Demonstrable experience reviewing and administering contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, bespoke, or similar) Professional certification in contract management is an advantage.
