Job Title: Oracle APEX Application support

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia  

Role Summary:

Developer will be responsible for supporting enterprise applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The role requires strong experience in PL/SQL, database architecture, UI/UX design within APEX, and integrating APEX applications with external systems and APIs. Strong understanding of ITIL process with 5+ year experience in operation support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Debug and troubleshoot Apex application issues across environments.
• Prepare technical documentation, release notes, and deployment guides.
• Provide ongoing support for APEX applications.
• Integrate APEX applications with REST/SOAP web services, APIs, LDAP/SSO, and external data sources.
• Debug / Write efficient PL/SQL functions, procedures, packages, and triggers.
• Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for high performance.
• Build automated scheduled jobs, notifications, and background processes using PL/SQL.
• Develop interactive custom reports, dashboards, forms, and workflows.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and deliver enhancements.

Technical Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle APEX (versions 20.x/21.x/22.x or later).
• Expert-level PL/SQL programming.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Knowledge of Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for APEX deployments (a plus).
• Familiarity with JSON/XML, REST APIs, and Web Services integration.

Database Skills:

• Oracle Database concepts, performance tuning, indexing, data modeling.
• Understanding database security, roles, privileges, and auditing.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills. Arabic read/ write is mandatory
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8+ years of experience in Oracle APEX (adjust based on seniority).
• Arabic read/ write is mandatory. Willing to work in 24*7 support .
• Oracle certifications (OCP, Oracle APEX Developer Certification) are an advantage.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience in migrating legacy Oracle Forms to APEX
