The purchasing representative finds suitable vendors to buy items to meet operation needs, ensuring best value (quality/cost) while maintain supplier relationships, processing orders (POs), tracking deliveries, maintaining records, all to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Researching and identifying potential suppliers, and comparing prices, quality, and obtaining quotes.
- Preparing and issuing purchasing orders (POs) and requisitions.
- Monitoring stock levels, determining needs, and ensuring optimal inventory without over-purchasing.
- Building and maintaining strong, positive, long-term relationships with vendors.
- Verifying deliveries against orders, tracking shipments, and resolving issues with non-supplied, damaged, or incorrect goods.
- Ensuring all purchases adhere to company policies, laws, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school education or above.
- 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Knowledge of procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Communication & Teamwork.
- Attention to detail.
