Position Description Overseeing the development and execution of the company’s anti-fraud strategies, ensuring compliance with SAMA regulations. This role leads efforts to detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, while also managing the anti-fraud team and improving fraud risk management processes.
Key Accountabilities Lead the organization’s anti-fraud strategy and ensure its alignment with SAMA regulations. Oversee the monitoring and investigation of suspicious activities and fraud risks across all financial transactions. Manage and guide the anti-fraud team, providing training and support to enhance their capabilities. Develop and implement fraud prevention measures and fraud detection systems. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of fraud incidents to regulatory bodies and internal management. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Audit, Legal) to strengthen fraud prevention measures and improve processes. Ensure continuous improvement of fraud risk management systems and conduct regular audits. Stay up to date with emerging fraud trends and adjust strategies as necessary.
Key Activities Monitor financial transactions for signs of fraud, using appropriate detection tools. Lead the Anti-Fraud team to perform initial investigation and data collection, and refer confirmed fraud cases to the investigation department for further action.. Work closely with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance and report fraud incidents as required. Provide leadership to the anti-fraud team, ensuring they are well-trained and equipped to handle fraud-related issues. Evaluate and recommend improvements to fraud detection and prevention systems. Participate in audits and reviews to ensure fraud risk management processes are effective. Prepare and submit reports to senior management on fraud risk trends and outcomes of investigations. Continuously assess fraud risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential threats. Review all cases sent by SAMA and assign them to AML senior specialist and leading a thorough investigation and analysis process in order to close/report the case based on clear evidence and rationales.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Work Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in anti-fraud, risk management, or compliance within a financial institution.
