Job Description:

As an accountant at Mapa, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records as per IFRS standards, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities on the site. You will work closely with project and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial operations, cash flow reporting, and ERP-based accounting processes. And you will be flexible to work in the remote site locations with company provided best facilities. 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control project/site financial transactions including accounts payable, receivable, inventory and petty cash.

• Managing records, adjustments, and general accounting processes within SAP/ERP systems.

• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for site operations.

• Supporting internal and external audit processes.

• Assist in budget preparation, cost allocation, and variance analysis for ongoing projects.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of material, labor, and subcontractor costs to support project cost control.

• Reconcile bank statements, supplier/vendor accounts, and site expenses.

• Coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure proper documentation and approval of expenses.

• Preparing project-based cash flow reports and conducting financial analyses.

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting processes.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Skills

Skills / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields
• Good command of English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of IFRS and general accounting principles
• Experience with SAP / ERP accounting systems
• Basic financial reporting and reconciliation skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Willingness to work at remote site locations
