The project:


Mace is providing project management consultancy services on a large luxury mixed-use development in the Umluj area of Saudi Arabia.


You’ll be responsible for:


  • Develop and implement comprehensive logistics plans for land and marine transportation.
  • Coordinate multimodal transport for heavy equipment, bulk materials, and specialized items.
  • Optimize routes and schedules to minimize delays and costs.
  • Liaise with procurement teams to align material delivery schedules with project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and customs clearance for imported goods.
  • Manage marine logistics including barge operations, port handling, and offshore deliveries.
  • Oversee coordination with port authorities and shipping agents for timely vessel turnaround.
  • Plan and manage site access, storage areas, and internal movement of materials and equipment.
  • Implement safety and security protocols for logistics operations.
  • Work closely with PMC teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication.
  • Attend progress meetings and provide logistics status updates.
  • Develop contingency plans for disruptions (e.g., transport delays, supplier issues).
  • Monitor and mitigate risks related to logistics and supply chain.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and delivery schedules.

You’ll need to have:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Civil Engineering, or related field (this is desirable but not essential for the right candidate)
  • 10+ years’ experience in construction logistics, including land and marine transport.
  • Proven experience in PMC projects or working with project management consultants.
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs clearance, and port operations.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP, RFID tracking).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
