As an Associate in Building Structures team, you will take overall responsibility for leading and managing the structural engineering discipline within major projects. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, drive technical excellence, and ensure successful delivery of complex building projects. This role involves strategic oversight, team leadership, and active participation in business development to support the growth of the practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for structural engineering teams across multiple projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with international and regional standards.
- Serve as the primary client interface for structural engineering matters, building strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Oversee the development and delivery of structural designs for large-scale and complex building projects, including review and approval of calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Drive innovation and best practices in design methodologies, digital tools, and sustainability initiatives.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Mentor and develop senior engineers, graduate engineers, and BIM teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Lead risk management and quality assurance processes, including audits and compliance checks.
- Represent the company in high-level meetings, presentations, and industry forums, contributing to thought leadership and technical strategy.
- Support business development activities, including preparing proposals, bids, and client presentations.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across all structural activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 18+ years of experience in structural engineering, including leadership roles on large-scale building projects
- Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects
- Expertise in steel and concrete design and advanced structural analysis
- In-depth knowledge of UAE, KSA, and international design codes
- Strong business development experience and ability to contribute to strategic growth initiatives
