A leading automotive organization is building an on-site team in Riyadh to manage vehicle variants and product configuration across PLM and downstream systems.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full lifecycle of product variants (from concept to discontinuation) from an options & featuresperspective. Analyze technical product descriptions / feature lists and prepare feature codes in Teamcenter. Transfer CMF (Color, Materials & Finishes) specification books into IT systems. Drive technical variability and color variability transformation across PLM → SAP → MES → OTA systems. Create technical relationships between feature codes and components in Teamcenter. Establish variability relationships on PLM BOM; analyze impacts of feature changes and drive corrective actions with the right process. Create inclusion/exclusion rules based on PDL (Product Definition List) in Teamcenter configuration. Create and maintain color codes and manage vehicle color variants. Create variant rules based on PDL in the system. Create Model/Trim codes and ensure correct saleable vehicle variants in PLM and downstream applications. Validate SAP BOM using data governance tools (e.g., SAP MDG or equivalent). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and requirements. Develop and maintain variant documentation aligned with company standards. Train and support module teams on new variant / PDL features. Participate in the variant sign-off process. Understand data governance tools (e.g., IDMC) and contribute to translating variability from other IT systems into governance tools. Identify and mitigate risks related to product variants and ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering. Experience: 5+ years in automotive product development, specifically in:Variability management / option management / color management Strong background working with:CMF (Color, Materials & Finishes) PDL (Product Definition List) / Product Development Letter Hands-on experience with:Teamcenter, SAP, and MESSolid knowledge of:PLM product configuration, BOM structures, feature logic, inclusion/exclusion rules Data validation and governance (e.g., SAP MDG or equivalent)
Additional Information

Experience with OTA-related configuration data flows. Exposure to enterprise data governance tooling such as IDMC (or similar platforms). Strong stakeholder management and ability to work in fast-paced cross-functional environments.
