Job Details

Senior Landscape Architect will be responsible for reviewing, managing, and supervising all landscape architecture works for a PMC infrastructure project involving roads, bridges, and tunnels. The role ensures that landscape designs are functional, sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, and fully coordinated with civil, structural, utilities, and environmental requirements while complying with project specifications and authority standards.


Responsibilities




  • Review and approve landscape designs, drawings, specifications, material submittals, and method statements submitted by contractors.

  • Ensure landscape designs are fully coordinated with road geometry, bridges, tunnel portals, utilities, drainage, and irrigation systems.

  • Verify compliance with project specifications, sustainability goals, and local authority requirements.



  • Oversee landscaping works along road corridors, medians, shoulders, interchanges, and roundabouts.

  • Review softscape and hardscape elements including planting, paving, street furniture, shading structures, and boundary treatments.

  • Ensure landscape solutions enhance road safety, visibility, and driver comfort.



  • Review landscaping treatments for bridges including architectural finishes, visual screening, planting areas, and public realm interfaces.

  • Oversee landscape design and finishes at tunnel portals, ventilation buildings, and associated structures.

  • Ensure landscape works do not interfere with tunnel safety, operations, or maintenance access.



  • Promote sustainable landscape solutions including native/adaptive planting, water-efficient design, and integration with irrigation systems (TSE where applicable).

  • Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability requirements.



  • Monitor construction quality and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and materials.

  • Review non-conformance reports (NCRs) and verify corrective actions.

  • Conduct site inspections and support snagging and handover activities.



  • Liaise with contractors, landscape suppliers, irrigation engineers, environmental teams, and authorities.

  • Resolve landscape-related design and site issues.

  • Attend technical meetings, coordination workshops, and progress reviews.



  • Maintain records of landscape approvals, inspections, and compliance documentation.

  • Prepare periodic reports on landscape progress, risks, and quality.

  • Support authority approvals and client reviews.

Requirements 




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Urban Design, or related discipline. 

  • Master’s Degree is preferred.

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in landscape architecture for major infrastructure projects.

  • Proven PMC or consultancy experience.

  • Strong experience in road corridor landscaping and interface with bridges and tunnels.

  • Knowledge of softscape, hardscape, irrigation coordination, and sustainable design practices.

  • Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
