Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall executive leadership for all resort operations, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality guest and member experiences across accommodation, beach, recreation, food and beverage, events, retail, and residential services.
- Establish structured resident and member feedback channels and maintain visible engagement to ensure customer insight directly informs operational, service, and product decisions.
- Evaluate and optimize all operational software systems and digital tools, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance the resident and member experience, including the development and implementation of a dedicated resort application.
- Actively establish, develop, and maintain strong professional relationships with residents and members to foster trust, loyalty, and long-term engagement.
- Lead, coach, and develop the management and supervisory teams through clear performance frameworks, succession planning, and continuous training to build a high-performing and accountable culture.
- Provide strategic direction and governance to department heads across operations, food and beverage, recreation, events, finance, human resources, and sales, ensuring alignment between product offering, service delivery, member expectations, and commercial objectives.
- Oversee food and beverage strategy and performance, including concept development, menu positioning, cost control, quality assurance, and profitability, through effective leadership of the F&B management team.
- Lead and drive commercial strategy in collaboration with sales and marketing, focusing on short-stay occupancy, membership acquisition and retention, and event sales performance.
- Actively build and maintain strong relationships within the expatriate community to drive awareness, partnerships, and incremental revenue opportunities.
- Hold full P&L accountability, leading budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, cost control, and financial reporting, and contribute to the development and execution of the annual business plan and long-term financial strategy.
- Review, negotiate, and optimize annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), including evaluating existing suppliers and sourcing alternatives to achieve improved service levels, cost efficiencies, or both.
- Ensure all facilities, assets, and grounds are maintained through robust preventive maintenance programs, delivering high standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Lead and oversee CAPEX projects from concept through design, approval, execution, and handover, ensuring projects meet operational, financial, and guest experience objectives.
- Identify and develop creative concepts and partnerships to optimize the utilization and revenue potential of available retail and commercial spaces within the resort.
- Own the strategy, structure, pricing, and performance of the membership program, ensuring strong value proposition, member satisfaction, retention, and sustainable growth.
- Develop and oversee recreational programming, partnerships, and activations that enhance guest engagement, utilization of facilities, and overall resort positioning.
- Act as primary liaison with ownership and corporate stakeholders, ensuring alignment on strategy, performance, reporting, and operational priorities.
- Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, security, and regulatory requirements, including successful inspections, audits, and licensing with relevant authorities.
Desired Skill & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field.
- A minimum of three years’ Middle East–based experience in a Resort Manager, Club Director, or Director of Operations role within a five-star or luxury hospitality environment.
- A highly engaging, professional, and ambitious leader with a strong passion for service excellence and operational standards.
- A front-of-house leadership approach with the ability to step back and provide strategic direction when required.
- Proven experience in building and developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of excellence.
- A strong track record in growing club membership, particularly within golf and/or fitness environments.
- Extensive experience managing food and beverage, accommodation services, and large-scale operations.
- A strong advocate for an active and healthy lifestyle.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing and sales strategies, managing membership programs, and overseeing recreational activities.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
