Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead and oversee large-scale construction projects in Saudi Arabia. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements and quality standards. The Project Director will work closely with senior client representatives, project management teams, and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Operations Management

• Oversee multiple projects or a group of Project Managers to ensure effective execution.
• Review and approve HSE plans and ensure compliance with QESH requirements.
• Ensure projects are delivered according to scope, quality, schedule, and budget.

Team Leadership & Coordination

• Coordinate with clients and monitor project progress.
• Conduct team meetings to ensure effective communication and alignment.
• Guide, support, and evaluate the performance of project and construction managers.

Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain accurate project and operational records.
• Prepare periodic reports on progress, performance, and compliance.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of internal reports before submission.

Budget & Resource Management

• Monitor project budgets and manage costs effectively.
• Coordinate procurement and resource allocation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize project expenses.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Address stakeholder inquiries and ensure timely communication.
• Liaise with suppliers, consultants, and regulatory authorities as required.

Working Conditions

• Primarily office-based with frequent site visits and client meetings.
• Low physical risk, with high responsibility for site safety and compliance.

Skills

Experience & Knowledge

• Minimum 20 years of experience in project management, including at least 5 years in a senior or supervisory role on mega projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management processes, policies, and best practices.
• Proven expertise in planning, execution, monitoring, and control of large-scale projects.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (mandatory).
• Master’s degree or professional certifications such as PMP are preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO standards related to management systems is an advantage.
