The Technical Director - Sports Assets at Qiddiya Investment Company is a pivotal role that focuses on the strategic design, development and project management of sports assets across our sports portfolio.
This position is designed for an experienced professional with a robust background in sports facility design, construction, and operations.
The Technical Director will take a leading role in the planning, execution, and oversight of sports-related projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality.
Key Responsibilities Lead the technical direction and development of sports facilities and assets, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya's vision and strategic goals.
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and designers to create state-of-the-art sports venues.
Oversee the planning, construction, and commissioning of sports facilities from inception to completion.
Ensure compliance with relevant sports codes, standards, and regulations throughout the design and construction processes.
Manage stakeholder engagement, including local and international sports federations, to ensure facilities meet operational requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ensure resource allocation to optimize project delivery.
Establish and maintain best practices in sports asset management, focusing on safety, functionality, and sustainability.
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on technical issues and project development.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates and reports on performance and milestones.
Foster innovation by staying current with the latest trends and technologies in sports facility design and management.
Support the design and implementation of operational plans for sports activities and events.
Review and approve design documents, technical specifications, and contractor submissions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 12 years of experience in technical project management related to sports facilities and assets.
Proven track record in overseeing the successful delivery of high-profile sports infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of technical and operational aspects of sports venues.
Excellent project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing budgets.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
