We are seeking an experienced Principal IT Security Engineer to support and strengthen the organization’s cybersecurity posture within a banking environment. The role is highly technical and operational, focusing on the administration, configuration, and day-to-day operation of enterprise security tools across endpoints, networks, and data protection platforms.
The selected candidates will work closely with the Head of IT Security and play a key role in ensuring secure, compliant, and resilient IT operations.
Key Responsibilities Administer, configure, and operate enterprise-grade security tools within a banking environment. Manage and support endpoint security platforms (EDR/XDR, antivirus, device control). Operate and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, web gateways, and VPNs. Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions across endpoints, email, and networks. Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and support incident response and remediation activities. Perform security hardening, policy tuning, and continuous optimization of security controls. Collaborate with SOC, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure integrated security operations. Support regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the banking and financial sector. Assist in vulnerability management, security assessments, and audit-related activities. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior security engineers when required.
Required Experience & Skills7–10 years of overall IT security experience, with strong exposure to banking or financial services environments. Proven hands-on experience in security tool administration and operations. Strong expertise in:Endpoint security tools (EDR/XDR, endpoint protection platforms) Network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, secure gateways) DLP solutions (endpoint, network, and email-based) Solid understanding of security operations, threat detection, and incident handling. Experience working in regulated environments with strict security and compliance requirements. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
