JOB PURPOSE:
The HQ RSAF Directorate of Air Force Training (DAT) Training Specialist will report through the Typhoon Training Manager to the RSAF Technician Training Manager and provide timely professional advice, support and assistance to the RSAF on a wide range of training-related matters. The jobholder is primarily responsible for coordinating training activity but also responsible for assessing and reviewing training material and methods to identify potential areas for improvement across legacy and new platforms including Typhoon. The jobholder also provides general project management support including written and verbal briefs to RSAF management.
Responsibilities:
·Coordinates and completes RSAF processing for training activities and maintains liaison with stakeholders responsible for conducting, scheduling and supporting training requirements.
·Maintains training records and statistical data for reporting and analysis purposes.
·Coordinates in-Kingdom and overseas scheduling of training according to training programmes.
·Ensures DAT-2 management kept up to date with training activity.
·Reviews training requirements and training solutions.
·Reviews formal correspondence and prepare responses on behalf of the RSAF.
·Prepares briefings and presentations for the RSAF senior management team and assists or delivers these when needed.
·Additional tasks as directed by the RSAF DAT-2 Technician Training Manager or Typhoon Training Manager.
Job Requirements:
·Ideal candidates should have at least 5 years training experience, managing, delivering and coordinating training.
·Must have completed a recognised course in aeronautical engineering and or an appropriate specialist-training course.
·Must have RSAF skill level-7 (RSAF AFSC 351X0).
·Extensive and in-depth experience of the RSAF 105 Series of Training Manuals and the RSAFtraining management information system (Oracle) is highly desirable. This also covers the RSAF temporary duty and course administration processes.
·The jobholder must be computer literate and very competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word as a minimum).
·Excellent English spoken, written and presentational skills are vital.
·The ideal candidate must have had recent first-hand practical experience coordinating training within the RSAF environment.
·Experience of working with both RSAF and civilian military training providers will be highly desirable as is a sound background understanding of the in-service training lifecycle including training needs analysis, training design, training delivery, evaluation and follow-up activities.
·The jobholder reviews training proposals and documentation and provides clear feedback and recommendations to the RSAF.
·Knowledge and personal experience of reviewingcontractor documentation such as (SOR) Statements of Work and Training Plans will be highly beneficial.
