Projects Technical Operations
Oversee and coordinate mechanical engineering activities across MEP and wet utilities systems, including HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, water, wastewater, irrigation, pump stations, and piping systems.
Review and validate complex technical submissions, material approvals, and method statements prepared by senior engineers to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and execution constraints.
Resolve escalated technical issues, clarify design conflicts, and lead critical RFIs related to mechanical and utilities systems through proactive problem-solving and root cause analysis.
Ensure effective integration and coordination between mechanical systems and other disciplines (structural, electrical, architectural, and infrastructure) throughout design and construction stages.
Supervise the preparation and maintenance of key project deliverables, including technical logs, submittal registers, RFI trackers, and drawing schedules.
Coordinate with procurement and planning teams to align material deliveries and construction sequences with approved technical solutions.
Represent the mechanical discipline in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors; address technical concerns, support approvals, and contribute to value engineering and assessment of alternative proposals.
Supervise engineering teams and provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
Take ownership and accountability for scope performance, making informed decisions under pressure to maintain project progress.
Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to design changes and site conditions.
Manage time and priorities effectively to meet project deadlines.
Motivate and collaborate with team members to foster a productive and high-performing work environment.
Self-Management
Set annual and periodic objectives for the mechanical engineering section and contribute to the department work plan in line with project priorities.
Monitor technical progress of mechanical deliverables, identify deviations, and recommend corrective actions to ensure adherence to quality standards and schedules.
Promote knowledge sharing, standardization, and best practices across MEP and wet utilities scopes, while staying updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements.
