Job Details

The Field Supervisor is responsible for managing, training, and supervising field merchandisers who conduct daily in-store product checks across assigned outlets. This role ensures that all field activities are executed accurately, on time, and in line with client requirements. The Field Supervisor plays a critical role in hiring merchandisers, onboarding them onto projects, monitoring field performance, maintaining schedules, and ensuring high data accuracy and quality.


Key Responsibilities

Team Management & Supervision

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard field merchandisers as per project and operational needs
  • Supervise merchandisers conducting daily store visits and field checks
  • Accompany merchandisers in the field during onboarding and when required to ensure proper execution
  • Act as the main point of contact for merchandisers for daily operational issues

Training & Project Onboarding

  • Train merchandisers on each new client project, including objectives, store visit procedures, KPIs, and data collection requirements
  • Ensure merchandisers fully understand product categories, brand guidelines, and reporting tools
  • Conduct refresher training and corrective coaching when performance or data quality issues arise

Field Execution & Quality Control

  • Monitor field execution to ensure tasks are completed correctly and according to project guidelines
  • Perform spot checks and audits in stores to validate merchandiser work
  • Ensure compliance with visit schedules, store coverage, and reporting timelines

Scheduling & Coordination

  • Create, manage, and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly merchandiser schedules
  • Ensure optimal route planning and workload distribution
  • Handle absences, replacements, and last-minute schedule changes efficiently

Data Accuracy & Reporting

  • Review and validate data submitted by merchandisers for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, or suspicious data and take corrective action
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve data issues before client submission

Client & Internal Coordination

  • Ensure field execution meets client expectations and contractual requirements
  • Communicate operational updates, challenges, and risks to management
  • Support project launches and scale-ups by mobilizing and training field teams quickly

Skills

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in field supervision, merchandising, retail audits, or field operations
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills
  • Excellent organizational and scheduling abilities
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on data accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good communication skills (Arabic required; English preferred)
  • Comfortable working in the field and traveling between stores
  • Proficient in using mobile data collection tools, Excel, and basic reporting systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with FMCG, retail audits, or market research projects
  • Prior experience managing large field teams
  • Knowledge of Saudi retail landscape and store formats
